I want to put this to bed once and for all
Guys first of for some of you who don't know or for that matter don't care , Tony because of being swamped at work( Yes the man does have a job not just dealing with Townie stuff) has decided to take a semi-leave of absence. He will still be around and helping me and the team out when he can , so from this point on I run the team.
Right now though my work schedule come before practices , but believe me not before the team , as there is a boat load of issues I am dealing with. At this point I am going to take time to address a few issues.
1. For you guys that no matter what time we schedule practice you are always late no more. I mean we schedule at 7pm you are late , we schedule at 7:30pm you are late , I bet if we scheduled practice at 10pm you would be late well no more. I will be handed out a sheet called the Kangaroo Courts fines. These will be fines for certain stuff done during the year. The fines will be of small money ,but they will be paid before the next game or you wont play. This money will go towards a banquet at the end of the year.
2. GET IN SHAPE . I was there tonight and guys need to start getting to work. Put down the hood's ice cream and start running. I thought we were all committed this year, if so let's get going.
3. This is most important , I really would have preferred not to have to deal with this issue again, but I guess I have to. To Coaches , to players , to anybody else that needs to know . Jimbo Murphy is not playing with the Townies this year. I will fold the team first , since most of the players threw the years have made it very clear that they would quit anyway. So I congratulate him on his championship , but he will not be around for this run. The only reason I bring this up is not to try and bring up old issues or show up a guy ,but the rumor was spreading threw practice tonight.
I hope this post sinks in to people . I just want to say I have given almost 21 years to the Townies and been through a lot personally because of my insane commitment to the Team , so all I care about is winning. I also will take all the help I can get with the team , since my compadre has needed to take a back seat for a while, but in the end when things go bad people are going to turn to me , so I will make all final decisions. Everything from this point on runs threw me.
